About FILM CIRCUIT

Founded in 1989, Film Circuit is TIFF's national film outreach programme, engaging domestic grassroots networks and strong community partnerships to bring the best of Canadian and world cinema to communities across the country. From Prince Rupert to Charlottetown, Film Circuit has over 170 locations in over 150 communities.

Recent Canadian films such as Maudie, Meditation Park, The Breadwinner, Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World, and Don't Talk to Irene have reached Canadian audiences from coast to coast. As well, Film Circuit groups have screened a diverse mix of engaging international films, including Loving Vincent, Faces Places, C'est la vie!, The Eagle Huntress, and The Other Side of Hope.

Not only does Film Circuit provide filmgoers an opportunity to see films that may not otherwise be available in their region, it also provides distributors with an opportunity to extend the theatrical run of their films.
